PTI is celebrating their 4th year anniversary. They have an amazing prize up for grabs for just sharing your favorite PTI project. Because of Canadian shipping costs I've only placed one order with PTI. I knew I would love the cardstock and I have. I tried the sampler to see what colors I would like and a few months ago I took my remaining pieces and made 10 cards with this one style but unfortunately I didn't take a picture. This is the only one I have left that I haven't sent out. So I guess this isn't my favorite color combo but I do love the card. I also love the stamp sets "Turning a New Leaf" and "Polka Dots". I use them one or both on so many layouts and cards. So now I have to figure out how to get more Kraft and Rustic Cream CS without breaking the bank on shipping.

I used the colors from the current Embellish Magazine Blog Challenge but then decided this wasn't really cutesty or quirky. But I just love the color combo. An easy sketch by CPS but I'm stuck on putting images on the left and not the right. I carried the lines all across the card because my image is larger than the sketch.

I absolutely love the colors in the Embellish Magazine Challenge and so decided to try a quirky and clean card. I also used the sketch from Card Patterns this week. It was an easy sketch but I didn't like the 3 flowers and so cut it down to 2. I paper pierced the cute little chick and again, I just love the color combo.

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

I absolutely love red and white together. When I saw this week's Tuesday Trigger from Moxie Fab World I decided to play along. I used PTI Rustic Cream CS and stamped different images to create a slightly worn look. I really wanted to sew the different shapes together with decorative stitching like a crazy quilt, but I guess I wimped out. It's a basic card, but I need a few Thank You cards that are easy to mail, so this is one down.

I'm still trying out all my new PTI goodies. I bought the 2008 Holiday Tag Set just for this image. I'm making a lot of homemade gifts with coffe mix and hot chocolate mix, so I wanted this tag. I decided to try it out on this card and this weeks CPS sketch.

Still loving everything PTI however I am a little disappointed in the color of the melon berry CS compared to the melon berry ink. The CS is more pinky and the buttons and ink are more orangey. I wanted the orangey tones so I guess it's the CS tone that I'm disappointed in. Still a beautiful color... it just doesn't match the ink. Oh well.

Everything is straight forward with this weeks Card Patterns sketch. I made my first order from PTI and I have to say that I am in love with their cardstock. Especially the rustic cream CS. I just love it!!! I'm really pleased with the rustic & weathered look the stamps have on the rustic cream. I already knew that I loved the quality of their stamps but I'll definitely be ordering more of their CS when I get a chance.

In high school I loved purple... all shades of purple. I wore it frequently. I still have favorite clothes in various shades of purple, but I have precious little purple in my craft supply. So, I think I need to look for some plum papers and embellishments.

I used the CPS sketch 141 for a jumping off place. Then there is the Moxie Fab World Plum Crazy Challenge for the color inspiration.

I liked this Card Patterns sketch and loved the journal element on the sketch. I've never purchased from etsy before, but am seriously considering an order. I just love what the design team has done with all of the tags from Paper Pixie. I'm afraid I tilted my "tag" element too much but my daughter actually commented on my card this morning and she rarely makes a comment. I think it's the amethyst & black combo. We both love it. Anyway, the card is pretty straight forward, but once I get some journal tags of my own, I think I'll come back to this sketch. I really like it. Did I already say that?

I made 6 sets of notecards for administrative assistant day and didn't take a single picture. What was I thinking? Anyway I used this old Making Memories Maddi Paisley paper for one of the sets. My husband requested "fun" paper and I think this color combo is FUN. So it was still out when I tried this card. With the rain today, I decided to use umbrellas instead of circles, but I still stayed true to the CPS sketch.

I love the color combo this week but I am just so limited with my stamping collection. I only have 1 blue ink which is light, so I paired the whole thing with a darker CS to get more of the flavor of the color. I tried to combine 2 challenges on my card today. I am a huge fan of Dawn's color combos and wanted to try her first challenge. It was a little difficult because I don't have ink in any type of orange palette, but I do have some ribbon. So I thought of the CPS #108 sketch, which just screams "ribbon" to me. Once I started on this, I thought of a card a while ago that Lisa did and so I did the same thing. I like the spring colors to this. Very fun.

I love the fabric that inspired the color choices this week. So I chose my all time favorite stamp. I've only been stamping for 2 years so that could change, but I've had more fun with this set than any other. I've done this technique before (copied the exact same idea from somebody else- love it) but I usually limit myself to 2 colors. However, I think the blue adds a fun little pop.
